Incised Pieces

Lines, incessant lines, impetuously
overlapping, carved deeply and grooved into the canvas substrate.

These paintings are labeled ‘Incised’ instinctive works. Their instinctive character
derives from an exploration of primal force through carving
and exorcising a canvas; and in
the generative nature of lines
inducing their own kinetic progeny. That is, through the process of
overlapping and reworking,
carved lines become
multidimensional, producing
inventive, interwoven artscapes
that result in highly sensate,
tactile visual experiences.
